CANSA Lowveld given generous donation to be used for free screenings

The management of Sonpark Centre donated R10 070 to CANSA Lowveld following a highly successful Night of a 1000 Stars to be used for free cancer screenings.

MBOMBELA – In a generous gesture of thanks to the Lowveld community for their support of the CANSA Night of 1000 Stars, the management of Sonpark Centre donated R10 070 to CANSA Lowveld.

The donation, generated at the event hosted on Friday August 25, will be used for screening tests. Hoping to encourage early detection of cancer, the screenings available to members of the public that cannot afford it include PSA tests, pap smears, skin and breast screenings.

Sr Rona Labuschagne of CANSA Lowveld urged community members to make appointments for testing and said, “It’s really wonderful that Sandra and Kobus Jacobs decided to thank the Lowveld community in this way as it will enable us to administer many tests to members of the public at no cost to them.”
