Two bodies recovered from Crocodile River
The cause of the accident is still unknown. Only one vehicle was involved in the incident.
The bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from the Crocodile River after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into the river.
According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, emergency services responded to the scene and conducted a recovery operation that retrieved the two occupants and the vehicle from the water.

Ndubane also confirmed that the male victim has been identified, although his name has not yet been released pending notification of his next of kin. The identity of the female victim has not yet been confirmed.

The cause of the incident is being investigated.

Emergency personnel successfully removed the vehicle from the river as part of the operation. Further details are expected to be released as investigations continue.
Police have opened an inquest docket.
