Vlammies wear pink for Mienke

MBOMBELA- Learners and staff a Hoërskool Bergvlam dedicated today to Mienke Mulder by wearing their best and brightest pink to school.

Pink for Mienke is an initiative started by a Please Pray for Mienke follower as a sign of solidarity with the Mulder family during this tough time.

Individuals and groups are urged to wear pink every Wednesday.

Mienke chocked on her bottle while in the care of her day mother last month. She was rushed to the Mediclinic Nelspruit where she was resuscitated before she was airlifted to a hospital in Johannesburg.

She has suffered severe brain damage affecting her ability to see and possibly walk and talk.

Vlammies and staff also contributed R6 373 that is to be donated to the Mienke Mulder Trust Fund.
