Trail runners young and old enjoyed a tough day on the trails during The Rest Trail Adventure Run last weekend.
Local running sensation, Folavio Sehohle took the first place in the 10-kilometre race at The Rest Trail Adventure Run on the weekend.
Sehohle, who is currently preparing to compete in the Commonwealth Games to be hosted in Australia in 2018, has been working hard to reach his goals and completed the 10-kilometre trail race in a time of 45 minutes and 33 seconds.

“After running those 10 kilometres I felt tortured, it’s really tough to run on rough terrain, but it has helped me to prepare and once I got back onto the track it felt like I was flying,” said Sehohle, who will compete in six track events in the coming months in a bid to qualify to compete in Queensland, Australia next year.
“I am positive about my position and I think there is a good chance of me qualifying. I have all the support I need and the people around me have been helping me a great deal to get to where I am now,”
he said.

Four hundred runners started at Curro Nelspruit in the five-, 10- or 21-kilometre races through The Rest Estate.
Catering to people of all shapes, ages and fitness levels the event was a huge success.
“We had two heavily pregnant women running on the day as well as a number of older folks all enjoying themselves,” said Drezell Mahoney co-organiser of the event.
According to race director, Sven Musica, “These events are growing in popularity in the Lowveld but they cannot be done seamlessly without the sponsors that help fund the odd bits that make it a success, so we would like to personally thank all the sponsors for their support.”
