Jacobs, in collaboration with Barberton Mines, identified 25 needy learners at the school.
The 11-year-old grade five learner from Curro was voted into the top five contenders for Miss SA National in April this year.
As part of her charity work, Jacobs donated money at First Profile for the construction of an animal shelter.
Her second major charity work was the 25 bags that she donated to the needy learners at Khanyisile.
After distributing the bags, Jacobs said she would like to come back and donate more to the other needy learners at the school, as she has seen that there are still more who do not have bags.

Madoda Nkosi, school principal, thanked Jacobs for the donation and also complimented Barberton Mines for helping her in identifying his school.
“I think the collaboration of Jacobs and Barberton Mines is a good thing. The bags will help the learners to take care of their books. We have seen the good things that Barberton Mines has done for the community and we have no doubt that Jacobs will learn a lot and emulate what the mine has done. She might probably do more and make a name for herself, as age is to her advantage,” said Nkosi.

Nkosi also spoke about the many challenges that his school has, like overcrowding in the classes, full pit toilets, and a lack of an administration block and library.
The school, which enrols learners from grade R to six, accommodates a total of 572 learners. It has an average of 95 learners in each class, which makes teaching very difficult for the educators.
