Kaapmuiden police make several dagga finds

Police found bags of dagga and dagga plants during a stop-and-search operation and a farm inspection last week.

KAAPMUIDEN – During a Festive Season stop-and-search operation, police found 8,6kg of dagga while searching through taxi passengers’baggage.

Sgt Pretty Khoza stated that a 44-year-old woman was arrested. Police believe she was travelling from Nkomazi to Gauteng.

Once the operation was concluded, the officers moved to nearby farms where they found and uprooted five dagga plants. Three suspects, aged between 34 and 46, were arrested. Two are Mozambican nationals.

They were scheduled to appear in the Low’s Creek Magistrate’s Court.
