BREAKING: Lydenburg man missing since December 21
She said that he also mentioned going to the bank to withdraw the money for the payment of the parts. Any attempts to contact him on three of his cellphones have been futile and no one has since seen de Beer.

LYDENBURG – A local resident living on a farm outside town, has been missing for 10 days.
Albert de Beer went missing on December 21 after he supposedly went to collect parts for his motorcycle at the local Postnet.
According to de Beer`s daughter, Monica du Plessis, her father stays on a farm about 20km outside town. She is not sure in which direction, as she has not been to Lydenburg before. “He went to town on December 21 to collect parts for his bike. He must have made use of public transport since the people on the farm of which he stays, were not there to take him to town. He has been missing ever since. I contacted the Lydenburg Police station, but they insisted that I come in myself to open a missing person`s case. I cannot, as I am residing in Pretoria.”
She said that he also mentioned going to the bank to withdraw the money for the payment of the parts. Any attempts to contact him on three of his cellphones have been futile and no one has since seen de Beer.
Du Plessis said de Beer is 61-years old, with grey shoulder-length hair. He is about 1.8 metres tall with a skinny frame. She said that his phones have been off since his disappearance. Any help in finding my father will be highly appreciated.
The newspaper spoke to Capt. Alfred Moela, communications officer of Lydenburg SAPS. He said that du Plessis can open a case. She has to provide the officer with a picture of her father and an accurate description. The file can be opened once the relevant information has been provided.
If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, contact Monica du Plessis on 079-897-7322.
