BREAKING NEWS: Suspected armed robber shot in Van Wijk Street
The suspect was taken to Rob Ferreira Hospital under police guard
MBOMBELA – A suspect was shot in the leg when he attacked a Divergent Ops security officer with a knife on arrest. According to acting police spokesman Lt Col Erhard Stroh, the security officer had responded to a call-out about a suspect who was allegedly busy breaking into houses in Van Wijk Street.

“He chased after the suspect and when he caught him, the man took out a knife and attempted to stab him. That is when the officer defended himself and shot the suspect in the leg.”
Stroh said the suspect was taken to Rob Ferreira Hospital under police guard.
