Fun weekend for bowlers
The greens were filled with 56 bowlers in 14 teams.

The Lowveld weather made sure the bowlers had a warm and fun weekend at Bungalows Bowling Club, when it hosted the annual Nornan Ladies Tournament in September.
The greens were filled with 56 bowlers in 14 teams. Each team had to name their group. That was great fun and the bowlers enjoyed every minute of it.
On Saturday they played two games of 12 ends and one game of 15 ends. After lunch it was time for a spider. The funds raised at the spider will be donated to the Hazyview Animal Clinic.
The spider was won by Carol Frankle.
After a long day the bowlers enjoyed a braai and some refreshments.
On Sunday all were ready to start with very interesting socks. Another two games of 12 ends were played. The day ended with the prize-giving event.
A hamper was won by Miranda Paiva and a handbag won by Larry Ireland. Michelle van der Westhuizen, Sunette Claassen, Annette van Reyneveldt and Patrys Bekker won the prize for best personality.
The individual prize for best pair of socks was won by Merle Joubert from Sabie. The team that had the best socks were Jeanette Richards, Martie Janse van Vuuren, Marina Smith and Marie Saayman.
The winning team consisted of Magret Theron, Maggie Barnard, Felicity van Rensburg and Maxie Kroeze. Second place was taken by Carol Frankle, Miranda Paiva, Marietjie Willers and Beryl Biggs.
In last place were the exchange students’ team of Shirley Tyermann, Lynett Bubb, Marie Kieck and Margaret Hogg. Most touches for the weekend was won by Marilyn Coulson. Bungalows Bowling Club thanked every member who contributed to the day, as well as BUCO Hazyview for its sponsorship to this tournament.
