Duo awarded silver and bronze medals at Eskom International Science Fair
Two learners of Suikerland Secondary School moved up through the rounds of the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists to compete in the International Science Fair last week.
MALALANE – Senzekile Tshuma and Miles Thobela, two learners of Suikerland Secondary School, were among 512 finalists from across Southern Africa who presented answers to scientific questions at the International Science Fair in Boksburg last week.
The fair is hosted annually as part of the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists and was held from October 2 to 5.

Senzekile was awarded a silver medal for her project on non-toxic dynamite and Miles Thobela, a bronze for his exploration of an alternative method of generating electricity.
Miles was shortlisted for an interview to represent South Africa overseas.
