BREAKING NEWS: One killed in accident on Barberton pass
The accident happened this morning.
MBOMBELA – The driver of a light delivery vehicle was killed in a head-on collision this morning.
Two others were also injured in the accident.
According to the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesman, Moeti Mmusi, the accident happened on the R38 Barberton pass about 20 kilometres out of town.

“It is suspected that one of the vehicles tried to illegally overtake another. The driver of the SUV who collided with the delivery vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital,” Mmusi said.
According to Emer-G-Med’s Martin Jeffrey, the driver was transported by them to Mediclinic Nelspruit. “The passenger of the light delivery vehicle had a fractured right humerus and multiple lacerations to the face. She was also transported by us to Kiaat Hospital.”
