Phoenix assists on the road during load-shedding

These patrols in residential zones are done on the companies own expense.

LYDENBURG – Phoenix K9 and Mounted Security Squad are going the extra mile for residents and road users during load-shedding.
This commercial security company is not only assisting the SAPS on keeping the mine roads open during night time but is now also doing rounds in residential areas to ensure the safety of citizen’s during load-shed hours.

According to Jan Combrink of this security company, officers are out on various mine roads ensuring that closures and blockades do not take place, preventing employees from getting to work. “In town, we also have some rounds we do at client’s buildings. While doing so, we also decided to do some neighbourhood patrolling in the residential areas.”
These patrols in residential zones are done at the companies own expense. “We help and assist where we can,” Combrink explained.
