Sekhukhune College students excel in athletics

"Most were handed medals for their excellence during the championships. We were also awarded a trophy for fair play in the championships."

Athletes from the Sekhukhune TVET colleges represented Limpopo at the College Sports, Arts and Culture Athletics South Africa (CosacSA) championships held at Pilditch Stadium in Tshwane last Saturday.

Fifteen students from the Apel, CS Barlow and CN Phatudi campuses managed to win medals in shot-put, javelin and track races.

Whiskey Rachidi, from CN Phatudi campus, told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that their athletes performed wonders. “Most were handed medals for their excellence during the championships. We were also awarded a trophy for fair play in the championships.”

According to Rachidi, over 10 TVET colleges participated in the event.
