Murdered teacher’s case postponed

BURGERSFORT – Residents will have to wait for a while to see justice in the murder of Precious Magabane. This is because the case against the two Pakistani nationals accused of killing the Kabishi Primary School teacher has been postponed to November 11.

Raza Ali (24) and Chema Ashan Fraza (28) appeared before the Burgersfort Regional Court on Monday for kidnapping and murdering the 33 year old woman from Mahlokwane village. She was a grade three teacher at Kabishi Primary School in Mashamothane.
Both accused were denied bail and according to Limpopo SAPS’s spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe investigations continue in this matter.

The Magabane family was supported by various organisations in and around Tubatse during the court sessions. The EFF as well as the African National Congress women’s league said the suspects should be handed a life sentence.

Magabane was last seen on December 23 when she left for church in Aloe Ridge.
On February 7,Limpopo provincial SAPS arrested the two Pakistani nationals, her alleged boyfriend Chema Ashan Fraz and his accomplice Raza Ali for the kidnapping and murder of Magabane. Her dismembered body was also found by the SAPS in February after his alleged partner pointed to the spots in which they buried her parts. Only her head and intestines were found during the discovery. The parts were found next to the R37 road to between Lydenburg and Burgersfort.
