Pediatric Care Africa does outreach in Lydenburg

They visited both Soli Deo Gloria and Paradise Caravan Park.

Saturday was  very busy day for the organisation’s Dr Soretha du Plessis at Soli Deo Gloria in Lydenburg.

According to a press release, Du Plessis saw around 25 patients on the day. The organisation also donated about 850 kilograms of supplies.

“We met a number of new residents at the care centre, including a little two-week-old baby girl. This newest addition to the Soli Deo Gloria care centre requires S26 baby milk and nappies, which we will deliver for her during the week,” the press release stated.

While they were visiting the centre, they received word that there are people living at Paradise Caravan Park who are also in dire need of medical assistance and food.

“We encountered about 150 people in 35 makeshift houses, of which 25 are children of all ages and a severely disabled young lady suffering from cerebral palsy,” the press release stated. “Conditions in this camp are very difficult and we will support its residents as much as we can.”

Du Plessis also visited the park and gave medical assistance where she could.
