BREAKING: German tourist airlifted after serious crash
The woman sustained severe internal and head injuries. She also has a severe pelvis fracture.

LYDENBURG – A German-family’s holiday turned into a nightmare on Wednesday just after 14:07.

The family was travelling in two vehicles on the Dullstroom road when the first collided head-on with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

A female occupant was severely injured and Deon Broekman of Rapid Response immediately arranged for helicopter airlift as soon as they arrived at Lydenburg Hospital.
She had to receive three units of blood before being loaded into the helicopter. According to Johan Harmse of Rapid Response the woman was suffering severe blood loss on account of internal bleeding.
Halo Aviation landed just after 15:00. The woman sustained severe internal and head injuries. She also has a severe pelvis fracture.
The patient was airlifted to Lenmed Hospital in Randfontein.
