The source of security for the Nkomazi District
Malalane Beskerming en Moniteering (MBM) was established in February 2015 primarily to provide CCTV and alarm monitoring services to the whole of the Lowveld.
During the latter half of 2015 a decision was made by management to expand the services of MBM and enter the open market as a private security service provider as well as a workwear, all PPE and clothing supplier.
MBM Protection Services was officially launched in March 2016, at which point Alwin Carstens formally joined the company as managing director.
In 2018, MBM received SABS 1475 approval to supply the public with integrated fire solutions, from fire system installations to portable fire equipment supply and servicing. MBM also supplies an array of SABS-approved products and equipment.

In September 2019 MBM became an official agent for Tracker. They are now an approved Tracker fitment centre and recovery agent. Their motto is simple: “We will help protect what you care for, you, your car and your loved ones”.
MBM Protection Services recognized the need for accredited security training in the Lowveld area and have since opened an approved PSIRA training centre. MBM now offer professional training in the security industry from Grade E to A courses.
Their services include an extensive range aimed at ensuring their clients integrated solutions for all their safety, fire and security needs. The head office is in Malalane, with a branch in Komatipoort and reaction vehicles in Hectorspruit.
MBM’s vision: To become recognized as the leading security, training and fire solutions provider in the Lowveld area and “To enforce a state of security within the Nkomazi district”.
