Workers get well at Naranja health event

As incentive to encourage participation, prizes were up for grabs for everyone who completed their health check and took part in an activity, either sport or music and dance. Those who performed the best were rewarded with goodies and trophies.

Indigo Fruit Farming, Naranja Citrus and Naranja Packers in the Burgersfort/Lydenburg area recently held their annual wellness day, in which some 450 employees participated.

“A correctly designed wellness programme boosts staff morale, reduces stress, impacts positively on the overall health of personnel and consequently improves productivity,” said AJ Esser, CEO of Indigo Fruit Farming. “In addition, it serves as the ideal team-building exercise and brings people from various cultures together.”
