Diggers Pub Birthday
Diggers Pub and Grill, situated at the Heads Shopping Centre, celebrated their second year of operations with a big bash on Saturday.
Martin Bester, Afrikaans singer, lead vocalist of rock band Kinky Robot, and presenter at Jacaranda FM’s Breakfast with Martin Bester, and Ruan Tennant, had the crowd in stitches with live entertainment. N3 Rapid Response did a demonstration with bubbles for the children, and there were jumping castles as well as a secure kiddies’ area for the smaller ones.
According to owner, Jandri Bezuidenhout, there was a lot of specials, mostly on liquor, on the day. The event was a huge success and they enjoyed it as much as everyone else.
“We also had sponsors for the day: Distell, Fokof Lager, Captain Ice and Purple Gecko. There were lots of promotional gifts given away. We also launched our Diggers merchandise, still on sale at Diggers.”
Bezuidenhout told Steelburger/Lydenburg News they had wanted to give back and thank their loyal customers and friends for a whole year of support. “Without them, none of this would have been possible. We would also like to thank everyone that celebrated with us and we can’t wait to see what is in store for Diggers in the next year.”
