Ballet dancers showcase their skills
Her pupils had the opportunity to showcase the skills they have learned during a parents' evening hosted at the St Peter's school hall last week.

Anna Paskevska famously said that “learning ballet is wonderful for children, even if they never become dancers. It is wonderful because it teaches discipline, grace, and manners.”

June de Villiers has been teaching ballet for the past 39 years, and she obviously feels the same.
One thing is certain, you do not have to know anything about ballet to enjoy watching it.
De Villiers is a perfectionist and this comes across in the way her dancers performed.
Totally in sync, it seemed that their domain was not the earth, but the air.
“Ballet is an incredibly difficult, beautiful art form that takes a lot of training, a lot of time, and a lot of hard work.”
Next year De Villiers’ academy will celebrate its 40th anniversary, and she plans a spectacular ballet production at the Civic Theatre to mark the event.
