Little ones embark on great 12-year adventure

It was an exciting day for grade one learners as they start out on their journey at big school. Some looked happy to be there, while others looked sad as their parents left.
Steelburger/Lydenburg News visited local primary schools to capture the moment. On arrival at Kellysville Primary School, the learners were gathering for their morning assembly in which they were informed of various things they will need to know.

At Lydenburg Primary School, the learners were already in classes and their teachers were checking if they had all their stationery in order.
The learners from Laerskool Lydenburg were having their first break of the day, and they looked excited as they opened their lunchboxes to see what their parents had packed for them. This is the beginning of 12 years at school.
