VIEW GALLERY: Barberton Mines bursary recipients honoured at gala event
The programme was established in 2017 and has benefited a number of beneficiaries since its inception
BARBERTON – Last week Tuesday was a turning point in the lives of the Barberton Mines bursary recipients’ lives. Past, present and future graduates were honoured at a ceremony which was held at the Diggers Retreat Hotel and hosted by the mine.

A number of local roleplayers were in attendance to celebrate the beneficiaries who will be pursuing careers in mining related fields.
Since its inception in 2017, the graduate programme has made it possible for more than 15 graduates from Barberton to enroll at university and follow careers in mining.

This year’s intake were encouraged to continue working hard at their studies before leaving for university.
