BURGERSFORT – The Magale Foundation is doing its bit to plough back into the lives of some of the top-performing learners of the previous year.

The foundation’s Karabo Selahle donated three computers to top-performing matric pupils in the Tubatse circuit on Monday.

The handover ceremony was held at the Tubatse circuit offices in Praktiseer. The pupils were selected from public schools in the circuit.

The beneficiaries were Jacobus Matsepe of Leolo Technical High School, Surprise Paile of Mogolo Secondary and Kamogelo Mashiloane of Kweledi High School.

They were the top-performing pupils in mathematics in the circuit.

Selahle who is a junior engineer at Marula Platinum Mine, indicated that the donation will assist in making education less challenging for pupils who are less fortunate.

Principals and guardians who received the laptops: Kambule Zondi, Karabo Selahle (donor), Elaine Mokachwa, Solly Lingwati (circuit manager) Charles Chaba, Alina Searane, William Mathebula (seated) and Margaret Matsepe.

“We have decided as a foundation to give the little we have to the needy schools and pupils in our area. Our aim is to grow this initiative and possibly donate 10 laptops to our best matriculants in 2021.

“This is also to encourage our current matrics to work hard. We call other companies to also support this initiative and assist in developing our learners.” Leolo’s principal, William Mathebula, thanked Selahle on behalf of the circuit and the schools.

The laptops were received by the pupils’s guardians as they are enrolled in various universities.
