During his 52-year reign over Makgorong, Mošola, Mmaboko and part of Phase 4 villages, Mogashoa always urged people to make education a priority.

“He actively championed the delivery of educational facilities, building of bridges, clinics, houses and tarring of roads which assisted the community with jobs and ultimately alleviated poverty,” said Mathabatha.

Since 1994, Mogashoa participated in politics and became a full member of the ruling party.

He played a significant role in uniting traditional leaders (magoshi) and served as a chairperson of the Local House of Traditional Leaders in the Sekhukhune District.
