Seed and Feed Drive empowers communities

Earth's Call Foundation's (ECF) Seed and Feed Drive hosted its very first awards ceremony at Nirvana Country House in December.

The project was launched mid-2020 with the aim of alleviating the food security issues faced by many rural communities.

To date, 15 school and community gardens and more than 40 household gardens have been set up and are running in Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.

These gardens provide sustainable and renewable food to both schools and communities in the areas in which they are based and with the continued support of ECF, will continue to do so.

The foundation provides support and education in the areas of companion planting, seed harvesting, permaculture practices and more.
