St Thomas College’s matrics excel once again
St Thomas had 139 learners, 112 of which passed with bachelors.
BURGERSFORT – St Thomas College’s matric class did it again. Like their predecessors, their results topped the rest of the schools in the Tubatse circuit with a 100% pass rate.
The excited principal, TGK John, said, “At St Thomas, excellence is a habit. We will strive to achieve another milestone in 2022.”
The school’s top five pupils for 2021 includes Sharon Shai, with five distinctions in accounting, business studies, economics, life orientation and Sepedi, and an overall percentage of 87.6%.
James Motebu also accumulated five distinctions in maths, physical science, life sciences, geography and life orientation. He has an 85.4% overall.
Immanuel Nkwana has five distinctions in maths, life sciences, Sepedi, English and life orientation, and 81.3% overall.
Thapedi Mohlala achieved five distinctions in Sepedi, maths, life orientation, life sciences and physical sciences, and accumulated 81.3% overall.
Sarah Mkhatywa achieved five distinctions in English, life orientation, accounting, business studies and economics, and has a total of 81.1%.
St Thomas had 139 learners, 112 of which passed with bachelors.
“They have been accepted at different universities; unfortunately they don’t have any bursaries or sponsors. We plead with local businesses, mines and the government to assist these hardworking youngsters,” the principal said.
