Lowveld High School athletes shine at BUCO Interhigh

LHS finished the 2022 BUCO Interhigh in fifth place with 708 points.

Lowveld High School (LHS) speedster Sinithemba Mlambo won gold in the girls u/17 200m at the BUCO Interhigh on Saturday.

She clocked a time of 27.42s on Hoërskool Nelspruit’s track.

Sinithemba also claimed a bronze medal in the long jump with a distance of 4.67m.

Her third medal came in the girls triple jump, in which she won silver with 10.17m.

LHS also won the boys u/19 triple jump gold. Iza Sithole leapt 13.52m.

Adolph Morgan showed his mental strength in the boys u/17 high jump, winning gold for LHS with 1.8m. This earned him the best achievement on the ASA table in boys high jump for the meet.

Mpilo Nkosi took the gold medal in the boys u/19 long jump with 6.61m.

LHS finished the 2022 BUCO Interhigh in fifth place with 708 points.

Smurf was voted the best LHS cheerleader.
