Church Unlimited launches new building complex

Church Unlimited held its official launch of its new building complex with a revamped worship space that can seat 1 500 people on Sunday February 26.

Blue and white balloons floated in an arch at the entrance to the newly upgraded building as the lively singing of the church’s choir and band filled the air.

Church Unlimited had moved around Mbombela several times before finally settling permanently just off the Barberton Road in 2005.

The church band and choir had everyone dancing and singing with joy.

According to one of the pastors, Etienne Garnett-Bennett, the plans to enlarge the building complex started five years ago.

“As funds came in, we continued building and we are grateful to have finished the new additions to the building in December,” he said.

Churchgoers enjoy worship songs by Church Unlimited’s band.

“The church can now seat around 1 500 people, but due to Covid regulations, the seating is at half its capacity, so there are about 750 to 800 people in the church today (February 26).”

The church hopes to also make the facility available to the community to use for concerts, events, graduations and various other functions.

“It is something we want to share. We don’t want it to be full only on Sundays and then it stands empty for the rest of the time. We want the community to share this wonderful building,” he said.
