Help Samuel take a bite out of the Big Apple

Samuel Sithole is one of six Lowvelders who will experience the opportunity of a lifetime when he showcases his talents in New York.

A lucky few Lowveld talents have the opportunity of a lifetime coming up in July – the IMTA 2022 New York. Samuel Sithole is one of them.

The convention, hosted by the IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association), will consist of 10 days of competitions across various sections, including modelling, acting, dancing and singing.

This opportunity comes once a year and gives hopeful young models, actors, singers and dancers the opportunity to showcase their talents on an international stage with over 300 scouts keeping an eye out for the next big thing.

With an opportunity like this comes a substantial cost, however. Should you wish to get involved in funding this amazing journey for these talented locals, contact Ilze van der Merwe at Ramps-to-Runway Nelspruit at nelspruit@ramps-to-runway.com or on 082 920 2031.

Samuel has dreams of honing his talents as an actor and a model.

This 17-year-old said going to the IMTA 2022 New York will not only assist him as an individual, but it would also raise the flag of his country and home town, Matsulu.

He reckoned it will encourage other young upcoming artists to reach for their dreams.

His idea is to be able to help friends and young artists to realise that giving up is not the solution, but rather to keep on pushing. “Embrace the future” is one of the slogans he lives by. As preparation for the big city, Samuel also participated in the boot camps offered by IMTA South Africa. Here they are taught what to expect from the path ahead.

Even though his journey might inspire others, ultimately his motive is to see himself working with big industry legends such as Morgan Freeman one day. This American platform can go a long way in helping him achieve this goal with the many scouts that will be present at the convention.

During his free time, Samuel enjoys doing motivational videos that might help those who have already given up on their dreams.
