Golfers in fine form for 2022 Club Championships at Malelane Golf Club

Malelane Golf Club members competed on the challenging golf course for the club championships on Saturday March 12.

The players participated in three divisions on the golf course. In the A and B divisions, the golfers played in stroke-play format. In the A Division, the gross winner of the day was Janneman Combrink, who played a 144 with Eddie Wilken as gross runner-up scoring the same. Reichardt Scholtz earned gross third place with a score of 156.

Roelf Fritz was the nett winner, winning the B Division with a score of 139. Arno Hoffman was awarded nett second place with his score of 147 and Hennie Barwise nett third place with a score of 149.

The players that competed in the C Division played in Stableford format, whereby points were awarded on each hole. Dave Rothwell was victorious in the C Division, scoring 73 points, with Len Diedericks as runner-up coring 72 points and Peter Cox ending up in third place with a score of 72 points.

When it came to the ladies, each player performed in the three divisions. Dimpho Mhlongo was the gross winner in the A Division with her score of 162, Paulette Sibiya the nett winner in the B Division with her score of 139 and Nina Schoeman won the C Division, scoring 55 points.
