Gin fest in Kruger National Park first of its kind

The first ever Kruger Station Gin Festival took place at the end of March.

Surrounded by nature on all sides, the Kruger Station brought its patrons something different this past weekend – the Kruger Station Gin Festival.

This was the first of its kind, and the distillers and gin enthusiasts surely would not mind if this became a yearly gathering.

For just R125 per person, guests received a branded glass and the opportunity to taste some of the best gins available in South Africa. This included De Vry Distillery, Guardian Gin, Dollie Gin, Six Dogs, Old Packhouse Distillery, Ntwanano Gin, and Qualito Craft Distillery.

Tanya Cruse, a director/distiller of Gin & Co, said it was wonderful exposure for their Conservation Gin range.

“It was nice to meet so many new people. Kruger Shalati is a wonderful venue and we hope it will become an annual event.”
