Lowveld Pie, Chips and Gravy Train meet at Phat Boys
The group meets every month at various restaurants across Mbombela, in search of the Lowveld's best pie and gravy.
The Lowveld Pie, Chips and Gravy Train met for the third time this year at Phat Boys in White River on Saturday March 26.
Started by Thea Rix, Marius Bakkes and Dave Walters in 2019, the group is still going strong, with between 20 and 30 members usually meeting on the 21st of every month.

Rix said last weekend’s meeting found excellent service and pies at Phat Boys Beer House. Rix has attended every single meeting since the start except one, due to her being in hospital.
Attendees also shared photos of their food and their experience on the Lowveld Pie, Chips, and Gravy Train’s Facebook page.
