Uplands matric dance dazzles all

It was a spectacular evening of dancing and dazzling dresses at Uplands during the matric dance on Friday March 25.

Johanna Cerisier of Uplands said the festivities had started with the arrival of matric learners at the College Circle, which were not dampened by the rain.

“Umbrellas came out to protect beautiful gowns and impeccable suits, as the matrics walked the red carpet. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to celebrate with the matrics,” she said.

She said the matrics were transported to Alevi Farm Lodge, where Uplands headmaster Allan Laing welcomed them.

“The beautiful venue perfectly complemented our happy and elegant grade 12s. Everyone laughed, danced and reminisced during an evening filled with magical moments, which will last forever. Thank you to the entire team involved in creating these unforgettable memories,” said Cerisier.
