Social market draws scores of shoppers

The next Mbombela Social Market will be held on June 24 this year.

Held on the soft green lawns of the Lowveld Botanical Garden, the city’s second Mbombela Social Market was enjoyed by families and friends on Saturday May 7.

The event started at 10:00 and offered live music, food stalls, stands selling cocktails and other alcoholic beverages, as well as clothing and jewellery stalls, and food stands for those who wanted a bite to eat.

Founder of the Mbombela Social Market Mmabakwena Nxumalo said the market was a great success with scores of people coming out to support the event.

She said the market had eight stalls in total and the main entertainers of the day were Gugu Pash, Dudlu ka Glamini and Soul Musiq.

The market was sponsored by Flying Fish and closed at 19:00 on Saturday.
