Lindelwa Mahlalela of Numbi Trust started her own organisation to empower and inspire underprivileged young people to further their studies.

LeeConnect is an organisation that aims to provide access to information and resources so the youth can further their studies and enhance their personal development.

It has been providing services to assist with university and bursary applications. Extra classes to assist learners to improve their marks have been initiated, among other learning platforms. “We have growth sessions which are a platform to share ideas, encourage, develop and learn. We also assist with CV writing, online job applications and interview preparation skills for starters,” said Mahlalela.

The organisation’s next step to help is to do school campaigns around the White Hazy district to reach more learners.
