Platinum Health Clinic celebrates Nurses Day

The Platinum Health Clinic at The Heads Centre celebrated International Nurses Day on Thursday May 12 in Lydenburg.

Hospitals and clinics celebrated the day across South Africa. This candle-lighting ceremony is part of the International Nurses Day celebrations every year around the world on the birthday of Florence Nightingale. Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing.

Nurses are selfless in their dedication to their patients, and the day was a token of thanks to the employees of the clinic. The nurses enjoyed fun medical-themed cupcakes with hearts, stethoscopes and injections made from marzipan.

The employees also lit candles to pay tribute to the ones who worked through the Covid-19 pandemic. was the founder of modern nursing.
