Two suspects arrested in White River for possession of dagga

The dagga's street value is estimated at R250 000.

Nelspruit Flying Squad arrested two suspects, aged 32 and 39, along the R40 between White River and Mbombela on Thursday June 9, on charges of possession of dagga.

A provincial police spokesperson, Brig Selvy Mohlala, said the officers were conducting their routine patrolling duties when they spotted a suspicious-looking BMW. They stopped it and upon searching, found large bags of dagga of an estimated street value of R250 000. They arrested the two suspects.

They are expected to appear in the White River Magistrate’s Court today, on Friday June 10.

The provincial police commissioner, Lt Gen Semakaleng Manamela, applauded the members for their vigilance and alertness.
