Three men seriously injured in crash on R577 to Roossenekal

A collision about 20km out of Lydenburg on the R577, near the Sekhukhune turn-off today, January 12, at 05:10 left three men with severe injuries.

The men were travelling in a Ford Ranger when it collided with a heavy vehicle, pulling two trailers loaded with chrome.

The Ranger’s driver and his passengers sustained serious injuries. The truck driver was unscathed. The bakkie’s driver was allegedly switching lanes when it collided with the truck’s second trailer. The men were stabilised on the scene before being transported to Lydenburg Hospital.

The Mosterthoek SAPS, Thaba Chweu Traffic Department, Bohlabela Regional Fire and Emergency Services and other emergency workers all assisted on scene.
