Light aircraft crash near old Nelspruit Airfield claims life
Paramedics declared the pilot dead after they arrived at the scene just outside Mbombela.
A pilot has been confirmed dead following a light aircraft crash on January 30.
The pilot, according to reports from Emer-G-Med, was the only occupant of the aircraft.
He was confirmed dead on the scene, just past the old Nelspruit Airfield, by the paramedics. “On arrival on scene the aircraft was found in ruins,” said Emer-G-Med.

A call reporting the crash came through to Emer-G-Med just before 16:00.
The cause of the crash is still unknown and will be investigated by the Civil Aviation Authority.
