WATCH: Big gang robs Dwarsloop Mall

The perpetrators held the security guards on duty at gunpoint.

Six shops at Dwarsloop Mall were robbed in the early hours of Tuesday February 7.

About 30 suspects stormed the mall at 01:30 and held the security guards at gunpoint to gain entry.

 

Dwarsloop Mall manager, Judgement Mdluli, said, “They then tied them up before breaking some of the shops’ windows and stealing items.

No one was injured during the incident. The mall is not operating. We are waiting for the police to conclude their examination of the crime scene, then shops that were not affected will operate.

The Bushbuckridge police confirmed the robbery and are still gathering evidence at the scene.
