Accident in Mbombela leaves 15 injured

Fifteen people sustained minor injuries when two taxis were involved in an accident at the corner of Bester and Paul Kruger streets on Tuesday, March 28.

The accident occurred just before 08:00. Emer-G-Med’s Martin Jeffrey said the injured were transported by multiple emergency services to Rob Ferreira Hospital for medical treatment.

The accident scene was cleared at around 09:00.

Mpumalanga’s Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison’s spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, said the department was aware of the crash and urged motorists to drive with caution, especially taxis that are transporting a large number of people.
