Two drivers receive minor injuries in accident in misty weather near Lydenburg

Misty weather and limited visibility on the road may have played a role in an accident between a Renault Clio and a Renault Sandero on March 31.

The accident occurred at the Jaap-se-Hoogte turn-off on the Roossenekal road (R557), near Thaba Chweu Boarding School, about 22km from Lydenburg.

Emergency workers on the scene said the Clio’s driver had apparently been overtaking the Sandero. As the driver was switching back to his own lane, he hit the Sandero, which led to a loss of control of both vehicles. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
