Special surprise during memorable cabaret evening in Mbombela
An incredible show by cabaret singer Helena Hettema at the Greek Kouzina delighted everyone there to watch her perform.
Award-winning cabaret artist, Helena Hettema, put on a stellar performance at the the Greek Kouzina for her thrilled audience members on Saturday evening, April 22.
The attendees came dressed in their cabaret best, donning fedora hats, pearls, feathers and fishnets. Patrons were treated to delicious food prepared by the restaurant, which was decorated according to the cabaret theme of the evening, while they enjoyed the songs sung by Hettema.

Hettema also had a special surprise for her fans, reading from her upcoming coffee table book, Journeyman, described by the singer as an anthology of poems written from the age of 17 to present day, featuring various South African photographers and fine artists.

Greek Kouzina’s Deon Dennis said the evening was extremely well received. Restaurant manager Chris Liebenberg and the rest of the team were excited to have had her perform. “She is an exceptional artist and we hope to have her sing at the restaurant again soon.”
He also thanked Riana Joubert of 35 Kelkiewyn Bed & Breakfast for sponsoring Hettema’s accommodation for the event.
