Suspets appeared in Praktiseer Court for alleged murder of young mother

Two suspects appeared in the Praktiseer Magistrate’s court last April 17 on charges of kidnapping and murder.

The suspects were arrested on April 15, after the body of Gloria Mashabela (19) was found dumped in Ga-Riba Village on
April 14.

Mashabela, from Ga-Mashishi in Driekop, was last seen on February 17 when she left with her son to visit one of her relatives in the village.

The two never arrived at the relatives’ place, but her son was found at the relatives’ neighbours, and there was no sign of her.

The SAPS is urging the community to come forward with relevant information to assist in the case.
