SA Laser Run Championships to be hosted at Mankele
Over a hundred athletes will be running and shooting their hearts out for a possible spot on the national team.
On June 24 this coming weekend, 112 athletes from six provinces will gather at Mankele for the South African National Laser Run Championships.
Not only does the winners of each category get to boast the title of being a national champ, they will also get the chance to qualify to represent South Africa at the World Laser Run Championships taking place later this year in Bath, England.
Laser run is a multisport competition that combines running and shooting. The races are fast-paced and includes rounds of laser pistol shooting from 5m to 10m and running laps from 300m to 600m. Athletes have to hit a target in the green five times before they can run to the finish.
