This monthly event has become a regular on many people’s calendars. As always, it was held at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre on Sunday, when some of the Lowveld’s best and most innovative crafters gathered to sell their unique work to an appreciative public.
The market’s organiser, Peta de Wet, said the purpose was to promote quality Lowveld products and small businesses. It is held every first Sunday of each month.
Home-made preserves, psychedelic kaftans and other clothes, and ethereal dreamcatchers were sold, alongside delicious eats and handmade crafts.

”It is a monthly market and we focus on delicious food and unique locally sourced products. No imported items are sold. We are also pet-friendly and welcome sociable dogs on leashes,” De Wet explained.
She said the organisers were thrilled with attendance numbers and many traders reported excellent sales.
“We had a lot of people from outside the Lowveld region stopping off on their way home from the Innibos festival,” she said.
The next market will be held at the same venue on August 6.
