Heavy congestion on N4 towards the Lebombo Border Post
The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison has urged motorists and truck drivers to remain patient and to obey the rules of the road.
A heavy backlog in traffic was reported at the Lebombo Border on Friday July 28, thought to be due to an increase of trucks transporting minerals and chrome to Maputo Harbour.
This is according to the department’s spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi. Mmusi said there was also a general increase in the number of trucks on the road, exacerbating the congestion leading towards the border.
He urged motorists and truck drivers remain patient and to obey the rules of the road.
