St Thomas College is proud to announce a year of outstanding academic achievement, marking the highest performance metrics in the institution’s history.
In the 2025 National Senior Certificate examinations, the school achieved a 100% pass rate, with 87% bachelor passes. Out of 123 learners, 107 were eligible to pursue university education.

Subjects from the science stream – physical sciences, life sciences, and geography – achieved a 100% pass rate, while mathematics, traditionally considered an arduous subject, achieved a 94% pass rate. From the commerce stream, business studies and economics both scored 100%. Mathematical literacy achieved 100%, and accounting 97%. Our home languages (English and Sepedi) and first additional languages (Afrikaans and English) all achieved 100% pass rates.

Our greatest achievement has always been maintaining a high standard of academic excellence. Since 2001, St Thomas has achieved a 100% pass rate in 15 out of 25 years, with the remaining years mostly achieving 99%.

Our learners consistently perform at a high level, gaining access to top universities and prestigious fields of study. We take immense pride in the fact that our school has produced numerous doctors, engineers, actuaries and professionals across various fields. This commitment to nurturing talent has helped transform lives and uplift communities – a legacy we aim to strengthen every year.
