Burgersfort resident Sumon Sumon won a brand-new Hyundai Grand i10 in the recent Thaba Moshate Summer Cash Splash Win a Car competition draw.

A delighted Sumon Sumon from Burgersfort was the lucky winner of a brand-new Hyundai Grand i10 in the Thaba Moshate Summer Cash Splash Win a Car competition.

The draw was held in the Thaba Moshate Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort’s parking area on February 7 at 21:00. Sumon managed to choose the chair that hid a paper with the words “Car Hyundai Grand i10” on it.

Fifteen finalists, selected randomly, competed for the big prize of the brand-new vehicle. In addition to the car, there were cash, FreePlay prizes, and a cruise aboard a luxurious MSC Cruise ship, up for grabs.

The vehicle won during the Summer Cash Splash competition.

To qualify for the competition, one had to play slots or table games at the casino. The competition started on November 1, 2025, and was completed with the draw in which Sumon drove home in the new vehicle.

“I am so happy; this is a massive gift. I am speechless. February 7, 2026, will forever be one of my best days after winning this car. I will take good care of it. Thanks to Thaba Moshate for having the competition,” he said.

Before the draw, DJ Surgeon entertained the guests. The MC was none other than Miss Limpopo 2014, Sheila Mmutle, who kept the attendees on their toes.

Thaba Moshate’s management urged locals to visit the casino for more competitions, a variety of entertainment and to enjoy scrumptious meals at the restaurant. The casino also confirmed that a new car competition will commence on February 17.
