MBOMBELA – The new cabinet members appointed by the premier, Mr David Mabuza earlier this year have undertaken to be more visible and on the ground this term.
To this end it was operation cleanup yesterday when government officials tackled the busy taxi rank in the city’s central business district.
MEC for the provincial department of public works, roads and transport Ms Goodness Nhlengethwa donned orange overalls alongside other officials in her department to help sweep the taxi rank.
Nhlengethwa was later also seen spraying Jeyes Fluid around the perimeter to keep out bugs and hence keep the departure point clean.
